A SocialBox.Biz blog post update by Alex ( July 2019 )
SocialBox.Biz was in the news again this week for the success of their Fortune 500 company partners, which include the likes of BP, Regus, Aviva, Legal & General, and plenty of others today.
Since they have agreed to handover laptops and other unneeded items to SocialBox.Biz as part of the “Laptops for the Homeless” initiative, as a result, these companies are experiencing social capital and coverage, positive environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) ratings among investors and clients, and inclusion press that covers their proactive efforts.
Case studies from participating organizations covered in the above mini-documentary video have shown that clients are using tech to further their education and career, as well as immerse themselves in culture and language. One partnering organization, is using these tech donations to help their women transitioning from prison into the civilian world.
Since finding work and benefits must all be done online today, the need for tech cannot be understated, and tech is being used to bridge the gap between the streets and getting back into society for the homeless people who benefits from the Laptops for the Homeless Initiative.
“It’s a win-win for everyone involved, as homeless people are now able to apply for jobs, while companies are mitigating their carbon footprints through local donation handovers,” said Peter Paduh, Founder of SocialBox.Biz who spoke on the topic of digital inclusion at London Tech Week. “We look forward to partnering with even more company conglomerates to make the world a better place.”
SocialBox.Biz took part in London Tech Week 2019 earlier this month, as Peter spoke as one of the panelists on the Tech for All panel.
SocialBox.Biz are aiming to hit their 1000th laptop milestone by 2020. Following this milestone, they are going to continue reaching for the stars, helping thousands along the way.
