‘Board members’ would volunteer for various partner charities helping in practical ways boost various community projects such as computers for homeless support, mentoring of refugees into economic activity and helping at centers for older people with their IT skills.
It is expected that the board members would be ‘corporate’ volunteers committed to spending around two hours per month with these charitable initiatives both within and outside their own respective organisations. In return, the benefits could be seen as:
– Scoring points towards members’ companies own Corporate Social Responsibility agenda
– Positive impact in practical ways with real measurable progress made
– Promoting sustainability through leading by example
– Helping UK Charities.
