Laptops for the Homeless and Disadvantaged Initiative Going Strong

A SocialBox.Biz post by Heather, 13 May 2020

The COVID-19 pandemic has underscored the need to connect people with technology, and vulnerable populations – such as the homeless and the elderly – have a bigger need than ever. The Laptops for the Homeless Initiative has beautifully bridged the gap between vulnerable populations and communication, careers, and education for a while, but it’s become even more pivotal during the pandemic.

The initiative was recently featured in an episode of Rooftop TV, a YouTube channel dedicated to covering good news. They also shared a full article on their website highlighting all the work we’ve done to date.

Last week, we spoke at CBI’s Supporting Families in Hardship Group Talk to discuss how people can help refugees, the homeless, and the elderly during these trying times. See the full article at :

This month, we’ve received contributions from Marks & Spencer and last month from Deloitte Accountants. We send our heartfelt thanks on behalf of the SocialBox.Biz team, as well as those these laptops will be helping.

We’ve got a great number of amazing businesses on board, and we are always looking to add new sectors to our initiative. You can see some ways our laptops have helped the vulnerable recently here:
